How To Boost Your Self-Confidence & Self-Esteem

The power of words: what we say to ourselves can either build or destroy our self-confidence, can even affect our self-worth. Mind your mind”s inner dialogue so you can weed out any negative nonsense!
Read the article below for some excellent words of wisdom:

New Lune

Feeling out of place or intimidated during a social event and thinking that you are not good enough to achieve something – everyone feels that way sometimes. Having low self-esteem is quite common and more normal than you would imagine. You are not the only one to feel that way.

Often, the people we admire and inspire stir up negative feelings about ourselves, for instance, that we are not good enough or interesting like them. The good news is that you are! We are all equal, we all have special qualities, insecurities, strengths and weaknesses.

If this constant feeling of being mediocre diverts your self-esteem and self-confidence, you will never feel good enough and you will always restrict yourself because of it. If you want to get rid of this feeling then this post is for you.

Redesigning my Blog

Thanks to everyone who’s visited my page, it’s totally a labor of love to share good health tips and motivation to others to look and feel their best– not to mention it helps me stay on track in my own life!  I recently made a few changes in my direct sales businesses so I could be more focused, which made me reevaluate exactly what I wanted my message to be…

To that end, I realized that fitness inside and out was the top priority, and that proper nutrition was the absolute foundation to not just living longer, but living a vibrant life well into our later years.   High quality nutrients can heal, as well as help prevent the chronic illnesses plaguing society today.

Transforming from sluggish, pudgy and burned out to trim, energized and upbeat has given me back my youth!  My attitude changed from letting it go, to I deserve only the best!!  Nature’s unpolluted elements have power– the power to build strong bodies and uplift spirits– with this power inside us, we can  become our own Force of Nature!!

My message is crystal clear– don’t be persuaded to eat junk food, polluted food or fake “health” foods just because it’s easy, or familiar, or brings instant gratification.  Our health matters… to us, to those we love, and to our future.  Make smart choices, even if they don’t seem to make a difference now..  they will absolutely make a difference in the long run!!

Side note:  I’m a total “Walking Dead” nerd– this was my amazing makeover at ‘Walkin Dead Haralson Tours’ in Georgia.  One can’t help but notice that from time to time, the people around us look a lot like the walking dead zombies!!  Frankly, it’s a good depiction of how dead I used to feel before getting healthy with Isagenix,  LOL!!!fullsizeoutput_2b26fullsizeoutput_29c7

Fructose: what’s up with that?

I have to delve into this since the #1 complaint I see on the web about Isagenix is the “high sugar content” and the fact that the sugar is primarily fructose. Well, that’s worth looking into!

Natural fructose (in fruits and vegetables) in small amounts (under 40 grams) is a benefit due to it’s very low glycemic index, and the taste factor– much sweeter than glucose, so less is needed for flavor

High levels of fructose (over 50 gm) present a world of trouble including liver problems, increased fat stores, uric acid, VLDL and triglycerides. A typical western diet has way over 100 gm per day!! (Ex: a typical 12 oz can of soda has about 20gm fructose). 1 Isagenix shake has 11gm, so even at 2 shakes/day, it’s well within the beneficial range. This allows me room to include whole food sources of sugar each day

Unless you’re following a low-carb program like the keto diet, sugars, including fructose, definitely don’t need to eliminated, just limited!! It amazes me how much sugar is hidden in “not sweet” food– and many have labels touting “no high fructose corn syrup” and “healthy”. Sauces, soup, breakfast cereals, oatmeal cups, frozen dinners, vitamin water (really?), granola and trail mix… GIVE ME A BREAK!! Read the sugar content on the label, and usually 1/2 of that amount is fructose. REALLY REALLY rethink those convenience foods when shopping!!

Time to learn a new language?

Modern stress sets off our fight/flight system, only we aren’t struggling to stay alive in the wild, however, our hormone response is the same. And as soon as the perceived “danger” is over, we may get a massive signal to scarf down fats and sugars, since this would help us survive in the past.

By understanding why our body tells us to eat fattening foods, we have an edge to respond sensibly, even learn to shut it off
